Firing Range Officer for Garrison Unit Gothenburg Amf4
Älvsborg Amphibian Regiment (Amf4) is looking for a Firing Range Officer to be stationed within the Gothenburg Garrison in Uddevalla.
Main Responsibilities
The Garrison Unit (GarnE) at Amf4 is primarily a supporting unit for other units and formations within the Gothenburg Garrison.
As a Firing Range Officer, you will be part of the Training and Firing Range Division (ÖSA) based at Sågebacken in Uddevalla, but you will also work at other locations included in the Gothenburg Garrison.
The overarching task is to provide unit formations training on firing ranges, exercise areas, and training facilities with the best and safest possible training conditions.
Your main responsibilities are to support the Firing Range Commander with operations and all surrounding tasks within the area of Amf4's land-based training and firing ranges.
The tasks require a high degree of independence and strong social competence. The role also involves responsibility for operations within your own organization and ensuring that activities on the firing range comply with current legislation and regulations issued by the Swedish Armed Forces. You will often have contact with units from various parts of the Swedish Armed Forces as well as other authorities, which requires good social competence.
You must be prepared to collaborate and lead work on shooting ranges and firing ranges.
You should also be prepared to participate in and support unit exercises while keeping the units' needs in focus. Documentation, managing the booking system, and monitoring environmental permits are a natural part of the work.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Passed Specialist Officer Examination, OR 6
- Category B Driver's License
- Meet FM physical requirements (passed within 6 months)
Merits
- Category C, BE, CE Driver's Licenses
- Computer proficiency - Office Suite
- Operator's License (e.g., ATV, wheel loader, Ltgb, L-car, etc.)
- Trained Ammunition Clearing Leader.
- Ability to establish risk areas for most common weapons, e.g., ehv, ksp, grg, grk, grenade launcher, and explosives service.
- Completed FUSA/SUSA
- Instructor on the most common soldier-carried weapon systems.
- Completed training in GEO-SE, maps
- Completed foreign service
Personal Attributes
We are looking for someone who is engaged, meticulous, and orderly. You are a good team player while also being able to take initiative and personal responsibility and lead work towards good collaboration. You have social competence, a service-oriented attitude, and good verbal and written communication skills.
You also have practical skills and good ability to drive heavier vehicles and machinery, as well as perform various carpentry and repairs of target equipment.

Work Hours: Full-time
Work Location: Uddevalla. Travel during work occurs, primarily within Sweden. Since operations may take place outside regular working hours, working times may shift to evenings/nights and weekends.
